GRAND PRAIRIE, TEXAS -- Will Atterberry showed why he is going to be a division one recruit after the senior place kicker booted two field goals, including the 47 yard game winner with 22 seconds left to lift Lewisville past Grand Prairie 20-18 at the Gopher Bowl.
Atterberry also connected from 33 yards out with 2 seconds left before halftime to give the Fighting Farmers a 17-6 lead. Grand Prairie switched quarterbacks in the second half and the move worked as Joe Mason threw a pair of touchdowns to Malcolm Berry, the second coming with 5:26 left in the game to give the Gophers a 18-17 advantage.
With no timeouts and just over 1:30 left, Lewisville Quarterback Jordan Dotson guided his team down the field to set up the eventual game winning kick.
