KELLER, TEXAS -- Keller Central picked up touchdowns from its offense, defense, and special teams on it's way to a season opening victory over Mansfiled Legacy Friday night at Keller ISD Stadium.
Two of the offensive touchdowns came on passes of 38 and 65 yards from Dustin Stenta to Ryan Wysocki. Israel Valentin got the special teams involved in the scoring with a 68 yard first quarter punt return for a touchdown giving the Chargers a quick 14-0 first quarter lead. Later with the game well in hand, Matt Boles scooped up a Legacy fumble and returned it 44 yards for the final score of the night as Central matched last year's win total with a 35-10 victory.
Legacy's only td of the night came late, when Darius Smith hit Geonnly Loenard on a 73 yard touchdown strike in the first ever game at the varsity level for Legacy.
